At the beginning of the play Richard speaks of how it is a time of peace. He also talks about his physical deformity (a curved spine). After moaning over how his deformity denies him worldly pleasures Richard tells us of his plot to have his brothers murder each other. Richard wants his brothers dead and his brother's children dead so he can ascend to the throne unchallenged. M. Godwin 1st
After reading the introduction multiple times I have come to the conclusion that Ritchard does not want anything. Although he might actually be wishing for something, I cannot really understand what he is talking about.
At the beginning of the play, Richard talks about his physical deformity. I believe he wishes he no longer had this deformity, and that maybe, one day, he will find love.
So, Shakespeare tends to get a bad rap; students do not tend to enjoy his writing and for this they give many reasons. Create a post where you describe your opinions and feelings abut Shakespeare's works and having to read them. What are your thoughts and impressions? Write at least one meaty paragraph to explain. Sign your entry with your class period, first initial, last name (e.g. 1C. Donaldson).
Act IV Choose a person from the play. (Do not choose Bottom.) Analyze the person’s words and actions; what do these words and actions reveal about this person’s character? Explain if and how the person changed in any way because of the experience in the woods. Describe the person and include evidence for your ideas. Remember to sign your post with your first initial, last name, and class period.
Act III: In order to understand how Antony appeals to the people and convinces them to turn against Brutus and the conspirators, it is important to know how he used ethos, logos, and pathos to appeal to his audience. Read Antony’s entire speech (omitting the lines of other characters) and identify one example of each form of appeal. Explain and cite. Remember to sign your post with your first initial, last name, and class period.
